Windows 10 a requirement for next generation CPUs

Next generation CPUs will require Windows 10.[1] I'm alright with this. Unpopular opinion? Maybe. But Windows 10 has been great for me.

My FPS in most games has actually skyrocketed after installing Windows 10. Overall they load faster and run more smoothly. Windows 10 system files use less space than Windows 7 and 8, which means that you can have more programs.[2] On average it also handles RAM better and uses less RAM, which speeds the computer up.[2]
As both a gamer and a computer information systems major who digs deep into the world of performance and security, Windows 10 is the superior OS for me and does the things I need it to better than 7 and 8.

I realize that while the hard drive space, RAM usage, and boot time improvements are on average objectively better, my preference for Windows 10 is subjective. But I am content with the Windows 10 requirement, since the previously mentioned improvements also improve gaming.
